A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar - Golden Rose

Blogged: Golden Rose It is always a surprise sometimes that certain stores haven't been blogged by me before.  One store in particular is Indyra Originals.  I've been a fan for awhile and even did a photograph for her store in the past, but sometimes a piece just doesn't work out right with the look that I'm going for.  That changed today as I made my focus the blouse of Indyra's Catalan in Antique Rose.  A fine pair of jeans even comes along with the blouse but I wouldn't be true to my blog style by sticking with them.  Instead incorporated other pieces.

I will say it wasn't the easiest look because the top does require some technique to match properly mainly due to the cut.  I also didn't wanna go the easy route and put a pair of jeans with it especially when the outfit already includes a pair.  SO a skirt was in order.  At first I tried something I had been eying for awhile but was a bit too high wasted and didn't give the proper silhouette that every girl wants.  Then I stumbled upon the perfect fit at Maitreya which surprisingly enough was already in my inventory, the Viento skirt in Eggplant.

Truth hair was on my head while shopping and though it worked for the look, as soon as I put on the elikatira boots it was going a bit more country than what I wanted.  I browsed through Truth's webstore on the marketplace and decided on Sonya Streaked in Barley.  This helped pull the more sexy appeal that I wanted with the blouse.

As mentioned the new Secret boots by elikatira in Sepia was perfect to pull out the gold belt option of the top and accessories (Catalan Ring & Snakeskin Clutch Purse) that Indyra already had matched with the look.

One skin that I have been wearing the past few days but hasn't been released yet - I'm happy to share that the wait for Belleza's Erika should be over SOON!!  I'm showing off the Erika Sunkissed tone in make-up #8.  I really like the variety of make-ups that Tricky is releasing in the Erika skin line and refuse to tease anymore about it.

And I am featuring Tres Blah eyes in blue...again!

Enjoy!

Love, Zoe

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar - Rocker

Blogged: Rocker
Time for some yum in menswear!  Connors - a new designer (to me) has been catching my eye with their clothes.  I couldn't resist this shirt. There are a few different texture variations but I had to go with black.  That's when I knew exactly what I wanted to put together.

This hair by Shag has been screaming at me since the hair fair to be photographed.  Its called, Boys Don't Cry (v.2) and I have wanted feature this hair for a bit.  It has a tuft of spiked hair in the front with a black fedora styled hat.  Originally I was thinking about going for blonde, but ended up choosing the shade midnight, which is a blue tinted black.

It was the shirt that bended me to do a rocker look and for pants it was a very easy pick to go leather featuring The Abyss' distressed leather pants - I already had picked up a pair for female and went back to pick up the male.  It comes with a black and brown sculpted belt that I'm not wearing here.

I also opted to go with the black slow rider boots by The Abyss. What is also nice is that one of the options includes the lower part of the leather pants attached to the lower part of the boot for easy wearing.  The other bonus, since I'm not in guy form often, I don't tend to have a huge selection of guy shoes, so I am fortunate that The Abyss offers a wide variety of items to purchase.

The rings & nails have had my attention for awhile offered by Rozoregalia.  I have wanted the shorter nail offered for female sizes but am happy I got to get it for this male look.  Very unique selection of high quality prims.  It includes different hand size options as well as different combinations of rings.  The necklace also has different ways of wearing it - you can check out the store for more details.

As far as skin goes, I wasn't sure what I wanted to feature but decided to go with Belleza's Shawn.  I do my best to keep my blogging and photography business separate, but hell, Belleza does an excellent job with skins so I pulled out the skin that I used to do the ad work with.  If somebody asks me where to get good male skins Belleza is always one of the first out of my mouth.  This is also what determined that I went with the midnight hair in the end since so much of my look is dependant upon the hair base that comes with the skin.

Now the eyes - they're from The Abyss' Dave Gears skin set.  Nuff said - I use them often.

Poses - this is one of my favorite male pose sets that Diesel Works have offered.  You're seeing pose 1 out of 12 from the Enzo set.  You can try out the rest at the store.

So there's my male rocker look!

Enjoy!

Love, Zoe

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar - Twenties Twist

Yay! I took some time to blog today! I'm a HUGE fan of the 1920's era when it comes to a lot of the deco elements that stem. Recently I even had a tour of a house that is located in a nearby town that is a great collection of the Art Deco era and has been featured in many Hollywood movies.

Twenties Twist

The inspiration for the look is Donna Flora's store. I can't believe that I had never been there before! I have seen Thalia (click here to see Thalia's flickr) blog her before but the big push came from Second Style's magazine for February with James Schwarz's stunning photos (click here to check out his flickr stream). Upon going to the store I fell madly in love with the store build/setting and the use of older styles of fashion and jewelry that I am featuring here using the jacket, top, and necklace from the Jazzy Pink outfit. The necklace reminds me a lot of a pin that my grandmother had that I now own.

As usual - I couldn't just do a gown but had to mix it up! I went straight to the skirt from Nylon Outfitters' Inner Ballerina outfit. I love how soft it looks and extremely feminine. I think it will be a staple in my inventory that I'll come back to repeatedly.

Not too far from Nylon Outfitters store and the hair that I knew would be perfect, is Paper Couture. Looking at my blog they're certainly a repetitive use of my style musings. And another cardinal rule of mine is "less is more" and though the necklace came with earrings, I omitted them due to the jewels being enough with the headband from their Jeweled Headband Updo.

As far as shoes, well I couldn't pass up using Bax's Prestige boots. I was gonna try to do the new pink color update but felt it too heavy, so instead put it together with the soft off-white shade. Then used the custom color option to match the lovely pink from the jacket's bow. Really bringing a custom look to the outfit.

It's all about the eyes - least when it comes to photography and I'm really enjoying the eyes put out recently by LeLutka - I feature them here in the blue shade of Reflection Glory. And paired up with the eyelashes from The Abyss it really helps bring out natural beauty without Photoshop because they include a nice shade feature that gives realistic flare.

And last but certainly not least - I'm really excited that Tricky of Belleza keeps coming out with skins. I was on a panel previously to give feedback to his Belle line and am happy to see him continuing to strive forward with his skills to produce really high quality skin. Thus I'm happy to show off his pale shade of his newest Alyson line in make-up 14.

Check it out along with the hair in this close-up shot.

And of course - the Poses are from a new bunch by Long Awkward Pose - Model School set 1 and 2 available now. So go check them out too!

Back to work now for me but hope that you enjoy and use some of the items to create your own personal style.

Love, Zoe

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar - Nico

Ever play Grand Theft Auto IV? If not, no worries - I just felt like this look kinda turned out how I would picture an SL version of Nico (main character from GTA IV) to look...maybe minus the guitar bag. I'm not going to do a long description and instead will allow the picture to do the talking. This is my alter ego in my inventory that I like to call "Joe" he is handy when I need to do photography.

Nico

Enjoy!
