Genie

Genie, originally uploaded by Zoe Demar.

A quick note to go with the pic.

The skin is a special edition - Kate by Belleza for the FROST event that starts at Midnight tonight SLT.

The Jasmine Hair is new by LeLutka and it comes along with the earrings and necklace. Check out their latest collection at their main store.

The eyes are part of the City Lights collection by Insufferable Dastard and the lashes are mesh by Maitreya - a VIP group gift from awhile back.

The mesh hand is by SLink and teeth by PXL. The pose used is by Del May.

Enjoy! Love, Zoe

A Little Bit of Glamour by Zoe Demar

glamour

I had some fun with photoshop tonight and thought I would share.  I was going to do a wedding dress type of scenario but decided to turn up the glam factor instead once I found this pose to use.  Then I was going to crop it a bit, but found that I liked it too much as it was.  I started to use another background then decided I liked the black more too!

Enjoy!  Love, Zoe

A Little Bit of Beauty by Zoe Demar

11-24-12-Beauty2

I noticed LAQ put out some newness which reminded me a bit of her going back to the "pre-glow" series of skins.  What I didn't realize was what she was doing in detail until I went over to check it out this evening.  I must say it really allows the new tattoo layer system to drastically allow us to be much more unique.  Instead of just piling on different types of make-ups.  Mallory is allowing us to also choose different noses, lips, eyes, etc. from across different skin bases.  Instead of writing out a bunch, I'm going to show you.  The picture above is showing off the Saga skin as is (plus eyelashes from Maitreya, Eyes from Insufferable Dastard, and hair from LeLutka).  The picture below is the Saga skin but with the nose from LAQ's Essentials Elle as well as Elle's lips.  Thus depending upon how somebody mixes up the options, they can get a completely different look - which is great!  The biggest factor is to just match up the skintone skin to skin - I choose the 2.0 skintone.  I will admit...buying two essential skin packs runs a bit pricy, but it was fun to mix and match to get a different look all together. On top of that, she has eye and lip makeup choices for 100L each, so you can still change up your look with make-up but to get the different noses, eyes, eyebrows, or natural lips - you would have to buy the essentials pack.  Still I think it is great if she continues on this path as it will allow the consumer to go ultra-unique.

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar in Tame

11-24-12-JLO

I put this look together awhile ago now, but I love it due to its feeling of ease that it gives me.  Very neutral and comfortable.  It's really a mesh up of erratic, league, and elikatira.

I have blogged erratic's top previously but love it so much in this shade that I decided to blog about it again.  It makes me want to cuddle up with a cup of cocoa and a book.  The great thing about it too is that it looks loose but not frumpy!  And pairing it up with a sexy black leather pant really plays it up to look really trendy but relaxed.  And of course I can't go wrong with anything that is similarly named to my name of Zoe!

I had a different hair picked out but then changed it when I saw elikatira's Interrupt hair - it certainly interrupted me!  I love the long over the shoulder braid with the loose wisps framing the bangs.  My hair does this all the time when I try to put it up.  Those little loose strands brings a lot of character with it.  I love it when hair designers do this.

The necklace, skin, and boots are all League.  I would put League as one of the best texture makers on the grid.  So talented with anything she touches..skin, jewelry..she does it all.   I'm sure if she made furniture or houses or whatever...they would be great.  I'm in awe constantly and always look forward to her releases. The texture and styling of these boots - they look sooo real and soft.  It is easy to look at these and know how it would feel under a delicate touch.

In regards to the eyes...I really love the depth of the brown in Exodi's Zbilija eyes (no longer available).  So when I go to put on other brown eyes, I always tend to go back to these.  I used them but with some major editing, in another picture that I did here where I put a bit of RL me in the image by adding the freckles.  Note, I'm also wearing the same skin but this time the hair is by Exile.

Enjoy!

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar in MADNESS

Madness

I checked out the Cinema event finally this weekend.  I had eyed Zaara's Ritika mesh dress from afar and found that my favorite item of the fair and thus decided to feature it in this blog post.  It is located in the Romance section of Cinema.  It is available currently in three shades.  I went with pink shade.  I love the details with the string on the shoulders with the little beads.  So well crafted!  Can't wait for more Zaara mesh!

I could have easily just left on the vive9 skin that I had been wearing but opted for something different.  I decided that I hadn't ever blogged the Bella skin by Redgrave that I picked up ages ago.  I wasn't really sure if I liked it as more of a photo skin or something I could wear around - especially since it is based on Twilight's Bella.  But I decided to give it a go.  I did have to adjust my shape slightly regarding the nose - otherwise it just looked too thin and I didn't want to change complete to actually become "bella" as the shape allows.  I also stuck with the gentle version of the lashes that came with the pack.

As far as hair, I wanted something that wouldn't overpower the dress straps and would kind of reflect that feeling of Bella from Twilight.  Burley's Julia hair won out with this chunky loose braid.

I really felt after I had the pose picked out that I wanted some nails, I decided that I didn't want to just pull something out of my inventory and found this pack on the SL Marketplace by Mandala.  I am happy with the nails but found that due to it being a unisex pack the HUD didn't come with a lot of nice soft pink selections - and I didn't want to have a longer nail on.  I kinda like the short look right now vs some daggers on the ends of the fingers.  So I choose a nude/pink with french tip feature.  I felt like editing the color but decided to leave it alone.

The skin pack I got came with the eyes, but I didn't really like them 100% so I went to the Insufferable Dastard store and browsed the brown shades she has available.  I honestly felt like a lot of the browns were too washed out until I spotted the ultimate pack in brown.  I ended up going with the faded brown to give more of an unnatural sense to the persona I wanted to pull off.  Especially calling this picture Madness based off of Muses' new album - The 2nd Law.

The pose by Del May felt like the perfect awkward beauty that I wanted to bring to this picture.  It's called, "Just got up male" - which totally works even if it is a male pose.  I find that I can buy male or female and make it work.

Enjoy!

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar : Kokomo

10-07-12-Kokomo

First all, Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!!  And now that it is getting more chilly outside, it's time to think about winter hopping to someplace warm..like Kokomo!  I honestly haven't ever been to the South Pacific but I have a few family and friends that have.

When Maitreya released this Mignon dress awhile back, all I could think of was some dark skinned beauty on the beaches somewhere tropical.  I'm a pale gal in RL but always dreamed of being darker skinned.  Thus in SL I can live that out a bit.

I'm also finally showing off one of the fade hair colors in this Havana hair by Truth as well as another one of Pink Fuel's Kumi skins in a stunning purple eye shadow.  I kept the lips natural to keep the look laid back and beach worthy.  Easy - Breezy - Covergirl, anyone?

This pose by Del May is called Grown Up - It is one of my all time favorite poses of all time because it really strikes a presence with all the right curves without trying too hard.  I tend to use it often - I'm sure if you glance through my flickr pics you'll see it.

Enjoy!

10-07-12-Skyfall

Feeling a bit like a spy today, especially listening to the new bond song, Skyfall by Adele.  I've also been a bit influenced by the black widow look of Scarlett Johansson from the movie Avengers...even if in reality the dress by Maitreya is definitely the influence of Audrey Hepburn hence the name.

I had fun photoshopping and otherwise will let the image/look stand for itself.

Enjoy!

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar : Groove

10-06-12-Groove

I love the fact that in my previous post I talk about how I'm no longer going to show shoes...I think that was the cue for Gospel of GOS to make some boots...because he did!!  Unfortunately I do not have that much power to make that happen every time so that means we'll just have to be patient for the next release.  I'm sure you'll be seeing these all over the blogs if you haven't already.  My favorite of the two releases are the hunter ankle boots shown here in tan.  They are available in 6 shades and you can also change the metal buckles to be silver or gold.  I love all the impeccable detail in the textures so be sure to go give them a try as well as their calf length version which I'm sure I'll use in a future blog post.

I really didn't want to do the standard black and fell in love with the tan from the posts.  I'm kinda going for an equestrian look but in a modern living twist. I had checked out a few top ideas but ended up going with the Not So Bad dress, Maud, in white and pairing it up with the optional Maud belt (sold separately).

I was already wearing the newest Truth hair, Swift, before I started putting together this look and definitely knew it would stay - it's a keeper!  If you don't know I am a Taylor Swift fan, so this was easy.  It has the whisps I adore and stunning thick bangs.  I hope to show off some of the new fade styles Truth has released but I decided to stick with au natural, cocoa brown.

To keep that equestrian feel, the look cried out for leggings, but again I didn't want to just go the typical black route and instead decided to bring out the violet Maitreya tights.  Mind you I did photoshop this picture and blended the seams of the tights a bit.

As for accessories, the Jackie O glasses by Maitreya was something I was already wearing and decided to stick with.  Gold was the theme of the look so I paired it up with some onyx Zaara earrings and ring.  Note the power of three...black sunglasses, black stones in the ring, and black stones in the earrings.  Odd numbers are always better in design and also can be in fashion.

As far as skin/make-up/teeth - partially because I was lazy and partially because I really like how it turned out in the previous post.  I eliminated listing all the eye make-up/lashes/eyes to save some room in my listing because you can't really see them that well anyway.

The pose is by TorridWear - which would be no longer available as she closed up shop (insert sad face here).

Enjoy!

Love, Zoe

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar: October

10-03-12-ErraticSweater

More yum to share - I guess I'm just in a photo mood.  I've decided to stop showing off shoes so much because I tend to go for old faves until I see something that really strikes me...then I'll feature shoes again.  But I have so much trouble finding the right shade sometimes that I've decided to not stress out so much about it and focus more on other things.

Sometimes I hear that bloggers say they love things too much - but sometimes it just can't be helped.  I LOVE this look!  I loved yesterdays look...and I'm sure I'll love tomorrow's look too.  But I adore this top that erratic just released at the Fameshed event.  A co-worker of mine wore something similar to it last week but it didn't have quite the contrast that this yellow brings to the table.  It's an off the shoulder look and the color blocking that makes me flail all over it.  There is also a cool zipper detail in the back too!  They have different color options but something about this one stood out to me.

I went through my mesh collection of pants and pulled out these Maitreya leggings that I've had for awhile.  I had thought I had already used them for a look, but didn't see it - at least not in my blog collection so I'm pulling it out for this.  I really like the teal metalic blue sheen with the sweater to make a nice color blend.

I had previously checked out the Vive9 skin, Maliah, but I originally wasn't sold.  I tried on the mid-tones first and really wasn't feeling it.  I had picked up the darker tones but hadn't tried them out until today.  I really fell for this SPF 306.  And I love the facial freckle/beauty mark options.  It comes with all the eyebrow shades as well as cat eyeliner that I am wearing over another tattoo layer of their mineral eye shadows.  I also decided to put on the deep blush layer that also comes with the skin.

As far as the teeth - that is Hart's doing over at PXL - go check them out - they're fabulous!!!!  I've been using them repeatedly with my pictures lately.  The best thing is - works with any skin since it is something that stands alone.  AND if you angle certain ways even the bottom teeth show appropriately too!  Totally worth the linden!

As for hair, I went checking out exile and oh em gee (omg)...I adore the whispiness to it..and yes I'm making up words for fun.  And the tone - it feels really realistic and I think it matches well with the skin tone.  I can't imagine the maintenance it would take to have hair this long.  My own hair is a decent length and the tangles I get make me want to hire somebody to brush my hair...yes, some days I'm just that lazy.

That about wraps it up, other than again crediting my standard - Insufferable Dastard for eyes.  I'm also using a Maitreya pose that is still available to buy at the store.  I was asked about some pose stores today in a flickr mail and it got me thinking how I wish Maitreya would release some more poses...but if it was poses vs. other things like clothing or shoes...I'd prefer the latter.

Enjoy!

Love, Zoe

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar: Diva

Diva

Yummy new hair by Burley!  If you tried to go to the store today like I did and found disappointment of not being able to, Bella has put the hairs up on the SL Marketplace due to the sim issues.  So pick up a demo, choose your color and buy!

I felt very bond girl esc in the hair with this gorg leather dress by MichaMi.  I did have fun photoshopping this pic, so the dress is a little bit more black here than my actual pic in my typical lighting settings.  That's one difficulty with Second Life, due to lighting, graphics cards, and monitors...what you see isn't going to be what somebody else sees.  Thus is life!  But the mesh dress is TO DIE FOR!!  I do hope that Milla will do the same dress with more of a cut in the front yum!

The lip (and eyebrow but can't see it due to the bangs) piercing is by Pekka and comes out when I need just an extra touch of rebel.

Thanks to Hart of PXL I received a fatpack of the Faith skin for winning his latest skin contest!  I was really shocked to see that I won considering I had won another photo contest back in the day.  I've been having fun trying out some looks.  It really is a fab skin and Hart and even myself have improved over the years!  I did add the rose lip make-up by PXL too.

I did mix it up a bit by adding some eyeliner to the look - which unfortunately can't really be seen, but I can still credit it.  Vive Nine put out a group gift of eyeliner make-ups.  I went with black for a classic dramatic look paired up with my fave lashes that are unfortunately no longer available by Silhouette.

As for eyes I am sticking with my current standard by Insufferable Dastard.  They're naturally stunning!

As for poses, I miss TorridWear!!!!! I'm not sure if Torrid still has them for sale anywhere but ya still some of my fave of all time poses are made by her. Nuff said.

Enjoy!

Love, Zoe

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar - Feature Pink Fuel

Pink Fuel definitely fuels my fire for skins.  I have to say that I do have a lot of love for the skin makers out there but I would totally put Pink Fuel in my top 3.  And before I really get into Mochi's newest release...I thought it would be fun to look back a bit to the beginning.  Not necessarily in the perfect order, I have put together older releases leading up to Kumi including some of my fave teaser make-ups in the mix.

EvolutionPF

Mochi Milena has certainly come a long way since the beginning.  And now we're onto Kumi!  I think the biggest celebration for her new line has to be the overall tone variety.  I really feel like she has nailed every shade.  I find that dark tones tend to be very difficult but you can see for yourself in the picture I have here:

PinkFuelKumiTones

As for make-up.  You can buy 2/pack or buy the fatpack of one tone.  There are 18 make-up options in all.  Excuse me if I missed one - but I think I got them all - shown in the Mocha tone:

PinkFuelEyeShadowsSM

Also there are 3-4 Eyebrow color options (depending on the tone): dark, light, brown and red.  A Freckle tattoo layer and over 30+ Lipsticks on tattoo layers include a variation of mattes, frosts, glazes, and tints. Each lipstick includes a teeth version as well.  Oh I didn't blog it - but there is also a shape available for Kumi!  See the demo at the store (slurl).

I'm showing off an edited picture of the Pink Fuel's Hazel tone in Meow with Light Brow and Lip Glaze, Jelly Purple with Teeth.

Kumi

Overall I'm in love and stunned with the options and quality she definitely strives for.  Don't be surprised if I tend to come back to Pink Fuel often in my upcoming looks.  Thank you so much Mochi for your support to make this blog post happen!

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar - A Girl with an Emerald Earring

Girl.With.An.Emerald.Earring

This picture was for my personal fun.  When I saw Rebel Hope put out this Marilyn Dress I fell in love and knew that I had to have it and chose it in red.  And with Elikatira's Found hair...I just HAD to snap a shot.  I wasn't really sure what skin I wanted to wear and have been doing a few of the Belleza skins...so I decided it was time to do something different.  The Body Co.'s Lavender skin won out.  The emerald earring, unfortunately is not from SL but from a RL image.  The pose is by Del May - even without intending to specifically use one of her poses, I chose one anyway!

Hope you enjoy as much as I did snapping/editing it!

Love, Zoe

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar - Sunny Days!

09-02-12Sunny

Summer isn't over yet!  The sun is still out - but fall is approaching.  I love the fall personally when I can wear soft sweaters and long jeans.  But I wanted to do something a bit more fun.

Erratic just released these studded Jessy shorts and I love how well they fit with their Amy blouse in their ad that I just had to copy them a bit with this post.

I pulled out the new Truth hair, Tristana, but decided to have some fun with color by going with the Smurf shade.

And I'm wearing the Shyla skin by Belleza in Pale 12.  I really like the copper sheen of the make-up.  The gif distorts it somewhat, so go check it out in store if you want to see it in static form.

Coincidentally, I bought the Celoe petal shoes in Lemon, so I decided to give them another round to show off how pretty they are.

The sexy pose is by Del May - it is one of her male poses, but I tend to go with whatever I feel fits with what I want.  And in this case, casual with attitude.

Enjoy!

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar in Retro Betty

08-26-12Betty2

I thought I would have some fun and put a twist on the blog a bit by using an animated gif style.  I picked up this Marina dress awhile back from Kunglers, simple but retro feel to it with the color block style.  It is a mesh dress - and I believe most people are using mesh viewers, but I'll keep putting that disclaimer in just in case.

The newest heels that I'm sporting from Celoe are also mesh.  If you're like me - it is not always easy to color match from looking at a box - it would be nice if we could have some sort of color previewer.  It would be nice if more designers could offer some sort of preview other than the demo as to what exact shade the item is.  I find that teal can be on the greener side or the bluer side to different people.  I hate it when I end up spending a fortune to only find that the shade wouldn't work with an outfit.  It is fine to have a blend, but sometimes I really just want something to match perfectly.

The cute hair, coincidentally also named Marina, by Truth is pretty new too.  I thought it was pretty cute - reminds me a bit of the Thelma from Scooby-Doo.  The bow is scripted with a good selection of colors.

The skin is Betty by Belleza, featured at the vintage fair - which if you haven't been - you need to go at least once!  I am wearing the pale tone in make-up 5.  As always, Tricky has a ton of make-up to choose from, so have fun getting creative!

And to anchor in the look, I pulled out some Twisted Bracelets by Erratic.  It is scripted colors.  Again, not matchy matchy with the purple, but this look is much more about tonal purple than matchy matchy so I wasn't gonna push it.

I also noticed that this is my 201st blog post.  I'm not one of the blog every day type of people, especially when I'm working full time, but it's pretty cool still to think about it.  I originally got into blogging when I started to model with FACES agency waaay back when.  When the blog shut down I decided to do it for my personal fun and still enjoy it!  Hopefully you like it too!

Enjoy!

Love, Zoe

Zoe's Quick Pick - Pink Ladies

Again I find myself in an array of too much awesome stuff on the grid to have the time to blog it all without making it a full time job!

Here is a quick highlight from the Vintage Fair.  It took me awhile to go through all the sims because there was sooo much stuff - but this I just had to blog about first!

08-05-12_Greese

I saw the Pink Ladies Jacket by House of {TORN} and HAD to have it!  The jacket also comes in black with pink lettering.  This is not sold as an outfit but two pieces...the jacket is one and the Sandy bodysuit is another - which also comes in black (shown) or pink.  The hair from Wasabi Pills (also from the Vintage Fair) worked out PERFECTLY to show off the back nicely!!

There are 3 sims to check out, and if you start and one end, it will lead you through until you get to the other end - which makes it easier to stay on track - but there is a lot to check out, so you might want to come back for multiple visits if you don't have a lot of time.

In the main map, do a search for the sim named Retro or Classic as these are the two ends.  The CHIC sim is the middle portion. (here's a quick slurl to a good starting point on Retro sim - SLURL)

Enjoy!

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar - Rumour Has It

07-14-12Rumour

Lots and lots of stuff going on right now...hair fair, collabor88, one voice...

I don't tend to blog about events or even the newest thing out there but rather just take my time and do a mix up of things that I like that maybe you'll like too.  But sometimes when I have the time, it all comes together.  That's what happened with this look.

The shorts were dropped on me by Toki-Doki's creator, Maya Levane.  I wasn't familiar with Maya's work, but that doesn't stop me from checking her creations out.  Mind you, I only blog what I like - given or not.  I fell in love with these shorts.  The colors and the pattern isn't something I have seen on the market, so that became my base.  They are mesh, and come in the standard sizing.

I needed a top to go with it.  I've been in a yellow and brown buying spree lately and when I saw this mesh top by Whippet & Buck at Collabor88 - I knew that it would work perfectly!  It took some sizing play...I had to make sure that the top would fit over the shorts without having peek through problems but was able to make it happen in the end with the right mix of a larger top and smaller shorts.

I decided to go with using Linnea skin from LAQ.  I went for the natural look even though I had a few options to go with.  I tend to not guzzy up much in RL and like my SL to reflect that.  I hope to do another blog using her Elena skin that Mallory has out at Gala's fundraiser event of One Voice.

For the hair...I just had to have the latest Truth hair, Aurora.  There's just something about it that called my name when I saw it.  I love how much he has grown in his craft over the years and am amazed how many hairs he tends to crank out on a regular basis.  That is not an easy task!  BY THE WAY - if you already have this hair and the HUD doesn't work - check out truth-hawks.com.  He's posted a fix to this.  Fortunately for me, my hud worked fine.

For eyes, I kept my old standard from Insufferable Dastard.  I am always eye hunting but sometimes I get lazy and just go with quality that works.

I think that's about it!  I do hope to have more time to show off some of the other items that I've picked up recently!

Enjoy!

2 Cents:  I decided to pull out one of my older Gala Phoenix skins from Curio.  Gala's skins were one of the first and best skins that I wore when I first arrived into Second Life back in 2006.  I've been a big supporter and fan of Gala/Curio skins ever since.  I might not wear them on a daily basis, but the variety of vivid make-ups have always had me going back to check out her work.  There is a One Voice Fundraiser that will start at midnight tonight and continue until July 16th.  Here is the SLURL.

Newness of this look comes from the latest release from Elikatira in this high pony tail with a layered bang - good for retro or modern.  The other new item is the skirt from The Secret Store (see Maylee's picture below of all the options).  I didn't end up wearing the belt for my look, but you can see them with the skirts below.  Both of these items are mesh - so make sure you demo them in a mesh viewer.

Lady Swing Skirt - Prints

The not as new item is the Celoe pumps in violet which I liked with this look to give the unexpected color blocking pop to the look.  The top from the always groovy Artilleri might not be available anymore when I was browsing her marketplace store - but Artilleri is always worth a look!

Enjoy!

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar - Pretty Pink (part 2)

Pretty Pink (Part2)

I decided to take one more pic before I go to bed and due to the fact it is getting late...I'm going to let the pic speak for itself!

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar - Pretty Pink

Pretty Pink

I wrapped up my other blog post and then I see on plurk that Mon Tissu & Celoe released some new mesh items...so of COURSE I'm going to log back in and go shopping.  And that's what I recommend you go and do too!!

I'm featuring Celoe's Aelia wedges and Mon Tissu's Slouchy Sweatshirt with Hanalei Shorts - just two of the many items from Mon Tissu at the Mayfair sim.

Enjoy!

A Little Bit of Style by Zoe Demar - Presents

Present

I've been spending a lot of time playing Mass Effect 3, but have spent some time in SL shopping but not really spending a lot of time putting looks together for blogging but I decided to do one today!  I titled it present because it truly feels that way with the color pop of the corset.  It would be an interesting walk down the street if somebody decided to do a beige kind of an outfit with the corset...I think guys would go a bit wild with their imagination!  I'm not really going to go into more detail because I'm feeling a bit lazy after doing a full day of house cleaning!

Enjoy!

Zoe;s Quick Pick: Mmmm for Maitreya

It's a good week for shopping in Second Life!  There isn't enough hours in the day to do everything that I want to do.  I do hope to blog about everything but I'm behind on a promised SL project, RL work is work, and just when you think it is safe, house issues arise when it rains too hard.

Keeping it simple - if you haven't yet checked out all the gorgeous mesh newness from Maitreya - you're missing out on a fabulous add to the wardrobe.  Here's my quickie take on the ever talented (pocket money stealing diva of) Onyx LeShelle.

Sad Tidings: LAP store closing in June

One of my favorite pose stores is closing its doors.  Long Awkward Pose aka LAP, was the first pose store that I knew of to really have good emotional mood poses.  In honor of Dove Swanson I'm pulling a few of my shots that I know that I used her poses for.  If you look back in my blog you will be certain to find other poses that I have used to blog with.

Chicken Fight - Part of the Fashion Spread found in ROLE's June magazine

A lot of places back when I started pose shopping were all very model-esc poses.  Don't get me wrong, with my photography career relying on poses that can show off clothing, model-esc poses are something I consistently need.  And not only did Dove Swanson of LAP create poses I could use for showing off clothing/products but she also created items that allowed my inner creative to come out a bit more to tell a story.  Dove also came to my rescue when I needed some custom poses created when I couldn't find something I was looking for.  Not only could she deliver high quality, but also very quickly too!  I should also mention how humble of a person she is too, even if she might be a bit "poo" obsessed, she's a great person and one I would call a friend.  You know the phrase, "there's something about Mary,"...there is something about Dove that just makes her one you remember.

Sunbathing - Part of the Fashion Spread found in ROLE's June magazine

I'm grateful that LAP has been here throughout my many years of SL, I will definitely miss seeing Dove's style of posing continue on, but I can also understand needing to pull away from this world when RL comes knocking.  I myself have had to do the same.  Luckily I'm a weekend SLer and I know she'll still be around, just in a different capacity.  Here's to you Dove!  Love, Zoe.

Gathering

Dove's own words:
I was going to wait to send this notice in June, but now I'm not certain how June is going to play out exactly, so I wanted to make sure to give you guys plenty of time. For what, you say? As some of you may have guessed or even heard, I'm closing LAP for good in June. I won't be returning, or rebranding, I won't be listing on the marketplace, or any such thing - so this is it. There are no bad feelings or situations that are taking me away - it's actually a lot of good things in my RL that are going on and require more of my attention. Sometimes you just grow out of certain things and for me, creating in SL has become one of those things.
So, I'm having a final closing sale. Everything is going to be 50% (or more) off until it poofs forever in June. I don't have a firm date for June, so if you want something you should get it sooner rather than later. I've even brought back a couple of older items and reduced them as well. I won't bring back everything - some things are better left alone.
>> If you have store credit or gift cards remaining you should use them now, once my shop is gone they will be useless! <<
Thank you so much to everyone who has been a supporter for all these years. I'm not "quitting SL" - I will still be around as a casual user and consumer, but as a creator I truly do have to thank you all for everything you've helped me accomplish. My shop has been open since 2007, this year is five years that you've helped me keep it going. I doubt many of you know but your support helped me support my family in RL, helped me to return to school, helped pay for medical costs, and pretty much changed the course of my life forever. I'll be forever grateful.
I'm not sure what else needs to be said. I guess I'll go out the way I came in, with a long awkward ...pause.
Thank you everyone. <3
with love,
<3 Dove (just another poser)

Look inspired by Burley's Bella hair in LBlonde05 it just screamed at me to pair it up with this mesh jumpsuit called Kyra by Celoe.  Shown In the bright orange tango shade matched up with these mesh violet Xylia pumps - also by Celoe.

And I had to use the blue eye shadow of course!  League's Jen Medium tone in Aqua makeup plus Lavender lipstick & Freckles.  I'm also wearing Insufferable Dastard's (.ID.) Shine eyes in Gray.

Make sure you check out the Pose Fair 2012 (opens up to the public on the 15th) - I blogged using oOo Studio's to be released poses you can get at the fair.  The one on the right is my fave, called parisian_three.

She's got it...yeah, baby, she's got it!

in the city

in the city

This look started with the new Kyoot sweater @ Collabor88 event. Sweater and stripes - can't go wrong!

I am still wearing the League skin but switched up the make-up a bit wearing Olive but with the China Doll makeup lips - best reason to go with the fatpack to mix it up more.

As far as hair goes, I love spotting hair styles on other blogs and saw one recently featuring the store Burley and decided on the Lola style with its pulled back bang and relaxed pulled up back style.

Then I headed over to the newer sim, Mayfair to check out the stunning mesh of a build that I saw on a flickr contact's photostream.  If you haven't been for the makings of Celoe and Mon Tissu - you have to go just to see the build.  It is awe inspiring and became the backdrop of this shot.

I also picked up Celoe's Nikka skirt in Drift shade.  But I needed a lil something more to really make this look more professional.  I searched in my inventory and found the Paper Couture's Learning Suit Belt to be a good fit.

These sexy heels by Celoe have the best name ever...Zoe! Okay I'm not that stuck up but it is a good influence to buy when it matches your name.  I love how much detail the shoes have - especially the interior shoe print.  There is a confidence booster when you have something on that others can't see...kinda like sexy lingerie under a powersuit.

And last but never least...eyes - I went back to an older fave of my with Insufferable Dastard's Light Sensitive in Dark Green and decided to use some of Maitreya's poses.

Then I decided...let's change this up.  We have the power look for a nice date or office attire...let's switch it up for after-work/weekend casual.  So...I paired up the look with Mon Tissu's Nora skinny jeans in faded shade, removed the belt, and took off the sculted prim of the sweater.

Serenity

Serenity, originally uploaded by Zoe Demar.
First - I can't tell you how long I have waited for somebody to create this style of skybox! I've made my own sets time to time which can be a grueling process if you just wanted to snap a picture!

Barnesworth Anubis' paris penthouse skybox that will be available at Collabor88.
Prim Count: skybox 78 prims & backdrop 4 prims.

As far as the rest of the styling I have to hand it to Kunglers to deliver this stunning gown. It isn't the "newest" release but deserves a shout out. (Kunglers) Ingrid gown - Old rose

This elegant hair is Elikatira's Daffodil in Blonde 10 and it's mesh! Great for over the shoulder poses like the one I'm using: Glittarati's Formality - 4.

I'm also wearing the newest skin release called, "Jen," by League. I picked up the fat pack in medium because it comes with all the lipsticks in tattoo format so I can mix up the make-up all that I want.

Otherwise, I'm wearing Mayfly's Deep Sky Mesh Eyes but you can't really see it in this shot. They're of my new standards for eyes.

Enjoy!

Rolling Deep

I love this look...if I could find all of it in RL, I'd get it!  Even the hair, so long as it wouldn't tangle into knots!  And I'd take the skin gladly too!

As far as inspiration...it would really have to go to the hair by Shag and the top by TokiD featured at the EPOCH event going on.  I'm going to have the outfit do the rest of the talking.  I was also listening to Adele, thus the title.

Enjoy!
Love, Zoe

*note the picture on the right has been edited - mainly added some shading and contrast, the left is more of a non-edit.

Tonight, We Are Young

we.are.young

I've been playing the song, "We Are Young," by Fun. on repeat for a bit. It is fun to sing along with and was a bit of the inspiration for this look along with the new mesh tops called, "KATE," by notsobad.  I can't say I'm a fan of the pants that they came out with as I'm not really into the heavy crotch look...but I do love this top!  The detail is outstanding including the texture that you can get a better glimpse of in the close-up head shot.

I paired the top up with League's Zipped Leather Pants in Faded Black and the new Triumph mesh boots by GOS.  Can't ever go wrong with League or GOS when it comes to quality!  I went to the SL Marketplace to pick up the boots in black.  I'm highly anticipating their next release!

Oleander hair is by !lamb.  I'm typically not one for bangs but love the texture in the bang edge.  The one down side to the hair was when I went to try and shrink it down slightly and found that I couldn't.  I'm sure I could find a fix about to change that...but didn't want to really mess with it.  I found that once I had the right color the size didn't matter as much.

Skin is by the body co.  It is their Ylang Ylang skin in tropez tone and I keep going back to it to use.  I decided to go with the full chic make-up tattoo layer with this look to keep it young but sophisticated.

The Mayfly Eyes are what I've been using as a standard lately and I haven't decided to change it up yet.

The poses are by Torridwear in the full shot (not sure if still available) and the other by LAP (close-up).  LAP (Long Awkward Pose) released some cute money poses at the Festival of Sin that I'm going to have to bring out to play with next!

Enjoy!

Lil'bit Country & Lil'bit Rock n' Roll

I have never really wanted to own leopard print until I saw this top at the Festival of Sin fair.

It is the -[AddiCt]-Leopard's Rage Body Suit.  Once I completed my look, I felt like I gave country a lil rock n' roll!

get.on.your.boots

get.on.your.boots, originally uploaded by Zoe Demar.

If you're an age verified adult, I suggest checking out the Festival.Of.Sin (blog) and pick up a pair of GOS latest boots. I decided to not go with black and put a bit of a safari influenced look together.

There are some great finds in the crowd at the festival. Hopefully I'll have a chance to create some other looks.

Here's a slurl!

Enjoy!
